From emails received from the owner, Stan, in May, 2010: Getting real close to completion on the restoration. New rear end 355, transmission 200R4 w/overdrive, new 350, new radiator, vega steering box, exhaust, drive shaft, moved battery, moved engine back with new mounts, new radiator fan, moved distributor below engine, battery under the car, etc.
I would like to let you know the person who did mine is Ray Simrock, national known racer and hot rod builder (San Diego, CA area). I believe this is the first Glassic with a V-8 chevy on a International Chassis. His is amazing at fabrication. This is his 400th hot rod at age 70 and plans to go 5 move years. You won't believe what he had to do to get the engine to fit, new trans. new rear end and drive shaft, moved the alternator and battery, repositionioned
the steering column at a different angle, moved the parking brake to the left side, moved the radiator and installed a electric fan and the list goes on and on. What a master.
